We care about your horse!

H.O.P.E. Organization accepts donated horses who's owners are no longer able to care for them. We offer this as an alternative to selling your horse at auction. Owners can have piece of mind knowing their horse is well cared for and has not ended up as dinner for the wealthy overseas. The best gift you can give your horse is a chance at a new loving home.

Your horse is a tax-deductible gift, please talk to your tax advisor .

Equine Donation Guidelines

H.O.P.E. is not a sanctuary or retirement facility. Horses who come to H.O.P.E. will eventually be placed up for adoption.
We do not accept equines with EIA.
We accept horses with behavioral and training issues on a case by case basis.
We cannot accept equines which are blind in both eyes, however, we will accept equines with limited vision on a case by case basis.
We require all donated equines to have a NEG coggins test within the last 12 months before acceptance.
We require a complete training and health history.
We reserve the right to refuse an equine for any reason.

Cost

We do not charge a fee to take your horse, however we do require that you donate at least 2 bags of your horses current feed and 5 bales of good quality hay with each donated horse.
