Horse Rescue.   H.O.P.E. takes great care in screening the people who are taking care of our horses.  Please take a moment to answer the following questions, all of which are necessary to our screening process and to which all answers are confidential.

Are you interested in a full (5 days per week) or partial (3 days per week) lease? Whichever lease type you choose, you will be required to be at the barn to care for the horse that number of days per week. The cost of a full lease is $200 per month, a partial lease is $100 per month.

H.O.P.E. offers lessons to volunteers and lessors. If you do not know how to properly ride, you will be required to take weekly riding lessons. Lessons cost $18 (about 45 min of one on one instruction) and are private with the horse you are leasing. You will be evaluated with your horse and it will be determined at that time if the horse is suitable for you and if you will require lessons. Do you object to lessons if it is determined that you will need them.

At H.O.P.E. our mission is to also teach the public how to properly care for their horse. You will be required to care for the horse as if it were your own, including cleaning the stall and water buckets; treating any wounds, giving vaccinations if it is that time of year, etc. - not just riding, etc. You will be required to do everything except feeding on your scheduled days. You will be shown everything you need to do. Do you object to this:

  • H.O.P.E. Organization, Inc, reserves the right to refuse any lease application if H.O.P.E. does not feel the prospective leasee and horse are a suitable match.
