Congratulations to Flo and her new 4H family. We feel that 4-H children are the horse owners of the future and it is a wonderful program that teaches all aspects of horse ownership to children, should they choose horses as their focus.
Our 4-H leasing program allows children who need a horse, to use one of our rescues as their project horse. Horses may be leased at our facility or housed at your own facility. There is a monthly lease fee if leasing the horse on-site. If you take the horse to your own facility, there is no fee to HOPE, however you are responsible for the expenses of the horse.
When the child has satisfied their project requirements, the child has the option of continuing to use the horse for another project, adopting the horse at a lower adoption fee or discontinue their lease. Should the child choose to discontinue the lease and the horse is adopted by someone, the child will receive a percentage of the adoption fee as a Thank You for their hard work and dedication. To benefit the child, these horses may be priced higher as they have had exposure to the shows and consistent work.

McGraw Girls and Dancer (Flicka) who was adopted by the McGraws after 2006 Fair Season. The girls and Dancer competed in several shows again in 2007.
